Today Google has rolled out a new update to its Android Google Maps application, which brings with it a number of new features including much needed improved battery performance for Latitude and Location History users.
The Android Google Maps application combines Google Maps with Navigation (Beta), Places, and Latitude and is available to download from the Android Market for free.
The Navigation features provides free, voice-guided GPS navigation system, and the Places feature enables you to find, rate, and receive recommendations for places which you might consider visiting. Finally Latitude enables you to see your friends location on the map and check in at places.
