If you have been impatiently waiting for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active to launch so you can finally take it rock-climbing, we have some bad news for you. The rugged droid that was expected to become available any moment now has been delayed until the end of the month.Online retailers are now listing September 26th or later as the date when first Xperia Active stock is expected. Previously, we were expecting the Sony Ericsson newest droid to hit the shelves on Spetmeber 9th, but it missed that target and rumor has it that a delay of the UK shipments was the reason.
Due to this new development of events the Xperia Active should hit the UK shelves at about the same time as the Motorola Defy+, which should be one of its main competitors. The other, Samsung Galaxy Xcover isn't coming out until October, though, so the Xperia Active position won't be that bad at launch.
