Rocstor Amphibious Secure Portable Storage, With Integrated Smartcard And Keypad Authentication

Rocstor has introduced their new Amphibious hard drive which has been built to keep your documents and files safe and secure, offering up to 1TB of storage via either traditional hard disk drive or solid-state drive (SSD). The rugged enclosure is constructed from aircraft grade aluminium and has a a built-in smartcard slot and a built-in keypad for authentication.

Offering Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm (AES)-256 bit key strength, real-time encryption with virtually zero time in encrypting and decrypting the data, and Military grade hardware encryption. Together with a NIST cryptographic engine and CSE- certified hardware AES algorithm.
Rocstor says that all of these encryption methods are integrated on the drive’s enclosure itself and can be assured that the information is secure. Its equipped with with two FireWire 800 ports and one USB 2.0 port. The Rocstor Amphibious is expected to arrive sometime in this quarter with a price tag of around $350.
