Following on the footsteps of Facebook, Google is also making changes in all its services like Google+, Gmail new interface, Youtube etc.Now it’s the time to say goodbye to decade old black top bar of Google.Google has announced on its blog that it will be replaced by a new a dropdown menu on left side.Google is busy rolling out this change but it will take some time to implement it for all users.If you are curious and want to get it before others follow steps of this trick.
Trick to Get New Google Bar:
For Mozilla Firefox:
- Open your Firefox browser then download and install Cookies Manager+Add-on from here.
- Now open www.google.com in your browser and click on Tools (press ALT key if tools menu is not visible) button then select Cookies Manager+.
- Select PREF cookie of www.google.com
- Click on Edit button a new window will pop-up.
- Replace the value given in Content field by
ID=03fd476a699d6487:U=ad6fb8b539225ae2:FF=0:LD=en:CR=2:TM=1322688084:LM=1322987516:S=zul4cz5afQqz3yGS
Note:- This is continues line which is broke into two parts due to it’s length problem. Don’t leave the space between CR=2: and TM= see the screenshot below.
- Now click on Save button and then on Close.
- Restart or Refresh your www.google.com page and you will see a new Google side bar.
For Google Chrome:
- Open your Chrome browser then Download and install Edit This CookieExtension from here.
- Now open www.google.com in your browser and Right Click anywhere on Google page then select Edit Cookies.
- Now new window will pop-up. In this replace the value field value by

Note:- This is continues line which is broke into two parts due to it’s length problem. Don’t leave the space between CR=2: and TM= see the screenshot below.
- Now click on Submit Cookie Changes.
- Refresh your www.google.com page and you will see a new Google Side Bar.
You can also uninstall this Add-on and Chrome Extension anytime if you no longer need it.
