But even after considerable first day sales, Battlefield 3′s sales are still growing well , even after its initial launch buzz has begun to fade a little.
Even though its competitor Modern Warfare 3 sold a staggering 9.3 million copies during it first week. Battlefield 3 has provided a different game style and mechanics, using the new Frostbite 2 games engine. Which has proved to be popular with gamers worldwide.

Either way the state of games sales over the last few months, goes to show that the games market is stronger than ever and is even making film and music sales look a little meagre in comparison.

his is really cool. If you spend a lot of time in major airports, big malls, or certain retail stores and use Android you need to update Google Maps. Google has announced that Google Maps 6.0 for Androidnow supports maps of the inside of buildings in some instances.
Google Maps Indoors
The maps can be accessed by zooming in on an address and then the layout of the inside of the store or mall will open up. The blue dot will show you where you are at any given time with high accuracy. The map can even tell what floor of a multiple story mall you are on.
Once you get inside a store in the mall the maps can even show you where specific things in the store are, assuming the store is supported. To start the Mall of America is supported along with Macy’s, IKEA, and several other retailers. Major airports like O’Hare and others are supported as well. I hope this is eventually rolled out to every mall.

We heard this morning that the ban on the Australian Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 had been lifted, and now it looks like Apple is trying to ban the new revised Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N in Germany.
A German court ruled a while back that the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 violated Apple’s patents, so Samsung changed the design, and released the tablet in Germany as the Galaxy Tab 10.1N, the photo top below shows the new Galaxy Tab 10.1N and the bottom photo shows the original Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N
It would appear that the design changed that Samsung has made to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for Germany aren’t enough for Apple, and now Apple is claiming that the new design still infringes on the companies patents.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for the 22nd of December, and if Apple wins again, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 could end up being banned in Germany for the second time.

Back in October, an Australian court decided to ban the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 from going on sale in the country, after Apple had sued Samsung in Australia claiming the tablet infringed on Apple’s patents.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 was also banned in Germany, and Samsung released a revised version of the device in Germany, and now it would appear that the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 will finally go on sale in Australia, as the Federal court in Australia has lifted the original ban.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
This is good news for Samsung, as they have been trying to get the court to overturn the original ruling since the device was banned back in October, and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now expected to be available in Australia from today.
Apple and Samsung are still involved in a wide range of legal cases in other countries around the world, and it isn’t clear how this decision will affect the other cases, Apple could also appeal the latest court ruling and try to get the tablet banned in Australia again.

Google has this week announced via a blog post that it is enabling, forward secrecy by default on its Gmail service. Which will make sure that any emails you have written today will stay as safe in the future when faster and more powerful machines will become available that might be able to decrypt the security.
Google explains that initially, only Chrome and Firefox will use the new forward secrecy by default, when using Google services, as at the moment Microsoft’s Internet Explorer doesn’t support the combination of ECDHE and RC4. But Google do hope to be able to support Internet Explorer in the future.
Google Gmail
Google explains:

“Most major sites supporting HTTPS operate in a non-forward secret fashion, which runs the risk of retrospective decryption. In other words, an encrypted, unreadable email could be recorded while being delivered to your computer today,” he wrote. “In ten years time, when computers are much faster, an adversary could break the server private key and retrospectively decrypt today’s email traffic.”

For reference Perfect Secrecy as explained on Wikipedia:

“Perfect forward secrecy (or PFS) is the property that ensures that a session key derived from a set of long-term public and private keys will not be compromised if one of the (long-term) private keys is compromised in the future”

These are scheduled improvements and will enhance the overall experience, but are not designed to address any issues that may be occurring with individual products
So it looks like the first update will land next month, followed by a second one in January, as soon as we get some details on when exactly these updates will be available we will let you guys know.

Siri iPad

Very interesting, it gives us an idea of what sort of functions Siri could possibly have in the future, and we wonder if Apple will open up Siri to developers so that it can be integrated into their applications.

This week Google has added a number of high profile file sharing sites to its blacklists, and removed them from its google.com search pages. The additions to Google blacklist which include, The Pirate Bay, isoHunt and 4Shared to name a few. Have now been removed from Google’s Auto complete and Instant searches. However the actual pages for the sites do remain indexed with Google pages and can currently still be found on other Google country searches.

isoHunt owner Gary Fung explained in an interview, with TorrentFreak :

“It’s a lot more subtle than the censorship attempts made possible by the pending PROTECT IP and SOPA bills, but it’s still censorship and it starts small. Google is increasingly becoming a self-righteous Big Brother of the Web. So much for ‘Do no evil’”.

Its thought that Google has implemented the new changes to stay on the right side of major movie houses and music studios.
